x-no-archive: yes goodness, my friend .. you are getting
popular .. if you don't mind..I couldn't get an answer to
this on the pharmacy newsgroup and I knew you'd know the
answer .. I've been prescribed a medication (Geodon) with a
terminal half-life of about 7 hours. And reaching peak
plasma concentrations in 6 to 8 hours. I *think* that the
1/2 life means that in 7 hours 1/2 the med has been
eliminated from the body ?? so,it would all be out in 14
hours ? any way..could you explain it to me in laymen's
terms ? I need to know all I can about this medication !
been doing research,but .. sure don't understand 99% of it :
( all the best, as usual 'nita ... Houston !

: ( all the best, as usual 'nita ... Houston !I don't know anything about Geodon or the form of its
administration, but nearly all drugs follow first-order
kinetics, which would mean that if the serum half-life is 7
hours, half remains after 7 hours, and 25% remains after 14
hours. Every 7 hours removes half of what is present.
