I posted this thread on the downhill forum but didn't get any responses, I was hoping that someone here might know the answer.
I need some help.....
I'm in the process of forming an MTB club for my local area, we have a bunch of guys who all want to race. Now we've done some cross country stuff and lots of road bike racing but we want to include a Downhill race in our calendar.
I've got a good Idea of what the course is going to be and want to make sure all the logistics are in place, I just need some idea's on how to handle the timing. If we use the course that I have in mind you can't see the start from the finish. Having never been to a DH race before I don't have any idea how it's normally done.
My initial idea is to have a radio link between the start and the finish, and set everybody off in one minute intervals. Does anybody have any other ideas???
