I ran from the finish area up to mile 17.5 and then ran with the women who ran 3:28 and 3:29 from about 17.5 to 23 expecting a 8:00 - 8:10 pace. THe first mile was 7:50 and they were down to 7:35 by mile 21. Very smart running. Hopefully I can be that smart at BayState tommorow.
Everyone in the team with the exception of 2 ran PRs and qualified for Boston: One of the non PRs was doing a long run in preparation for Philly. The other was undertrained.

Good luck!!!
Thanks, I didn't run as well as I could have (our coach was telling me I was in shape to run 3:15 - 3:22) but I felt pretty comfortable up until the 40 k mark. I may have started the race a little early, around mile 18, which may explain hitting the wall at 24.8 but I qualified for more Boston pain and ran a PR (2 seconds). I probably would have improved on the time a little more if you didn't have to run around a baseball infield to end the race. I would have practiced my base running had I known.

Some times you need to give it a shot - been there done that.
