  1. This sucks but seems to match the French attitude.

US children as young as 11 are taking illegal steroids in a bid to achieve

Ugly at best. Makes me want to beat parents and coaches who drive this [censored] as
close to death as possible, but make sure they live crippled and miserable.
These kids are going to pay at least that price for "Soccer Mom's" dream.

Yup, and you know how many kids and adults here in the USA are taking
    painkillers? Uh, ah, ouchie!

Around 10 years ago in the Chicago area, a youth football coach was handing
out Lasix to players so that they could make the weight limits for the team
classifications. An ER physician at a local hospital blew the whistle on him
after treating one of the kids for side effects. You can guess the outcome:
over 75% of the parents supported the coach and the investigation never went
anywhere. The politicians, self-appointed moral guardians, etc., always want
to jump on "the media", or popular culture, but IMHO, it almost *always*
    goes back to the parents.

Can't argue with that. If these parents actually put a little of that effort
into the kids getting an education they'd be a hell of a lot better off when
they were part of the 99.9% that don't become high paid pro athletes.
    Not going to happen though.
