This is a posted question I got off the internet, directed to me for my office. This is in the additional details/questions field of the form. Should I respond to him or ignore him, since he mentions the happy ending (which I assume is something I DON'T do)
<However long you think it will take and whatever you think needs done. Here is my problem. I wanted to get a hold of you and ask you a couple questions. I never had a real massage before but I talked to some people and I was wondering if you could fill me in on some stuff. I carry a rifle (slung over my shoulder) and a 30lb. belt for 13 hrs a day when I'm at work. I noticed neck pain and it feels like circulation is being cut off at my neck. Would a deep tissue massage help this, and/or what do you think would help. My lower back and upper buttock have been feeling tense too. I did throw my back out a couple weeks ago. Also, someone mentioned a happy ending. I was told if I get a massage I shouldn't leave without one. I know this might seem like a joke with the buttock comment but it really isn't. Let me know what you think about everything. My neck gets worse by the day. Thank you, Jason

I'd reply to him and let him know that that his friend was misinformed,
your scope of practice <g>. However, that you could help the other complaints.
Good answer. It educates about the scope of a couple of professions and it sounds like he might have a real problem (other than what his friend told him).

He sounded pretty sincere until he added..."Also, someone mentioned a happy ending. I was told if I get a massage I shouldn't leave without one" If you wanted to follow up with him, you could be direct in asking him what he meant by that comment as it wasn't clear to you on what he was asking. This shows your a proffessional and you will be prepared with an answer either way from what he responds to you with. Good luck : ). Jillian

I agree. If he's been honest about not having a real massage before then he's probably been misled by co-workers. Sounds like he's a guard somewhere and that's just the type of environment where "guys will be guys" and pull a prank on one of their own.
