I own a Giant Revive ( a recumbent wannabe ) and the 20" wheels throw up a fair amount of mud and dirt when it rains as the fenders don't stop everything from splattering.
I went to my LBG to see if there exists, what we call here, a jacket protector. This consists of two pieces of clear plastic that cover about 1/3 of the side of the wheels. If you wear long coats on a regular bike you really need it when it rains. At any rate, he looked through his book and could only find these protectors for 24" wheels.
I have the feeling if it doesn't exists here, the chances are slim that this exists elsewhere. Anyone ever see there protectors for 20" wheels? Thanks, Dave

Okay. Some suggestions off the top of my head. Make some yourself? Signshops carry thin pliable plastic thats sturdy enough to ziptie or otherwise attach to the fenders. (I made some wheeldiscs from it) Or a lycra stocking that goes over the rear fender. Tight enough to stay on but not so tight it bends the fender into the wheel. (Think tea cosy.) Coloured ducttape. Easy and cheap but might not look pretty and a pain to remove no doubt. ;-)
Accessories for folding bikes and such mayhap? Brompton etc. Since they are also meant for commuting one of the manufacturers must have thought "jackets".
Fenders like on my TE-clone. Should be possible to have someone make em or do it yourself as the shape is pretty straightforward. Might even just drape some fiberglass mats dipped in resin over your existing fender. (Take it off the bike first tho.) And note that they are a pain in snow and slush that sticks to the bike. Mikael, thanks for the suggestions! I did take a look a Brompton's UK site and saw nothing listed under accessories that would have worked. I might wind up making something myself since it seems they don't exist for 20" wheels. Thanks, Dave
