Yes, acidosis can be deadly, but you have it backwards. Some diseases cause

dead people do not get that acidotic for a long, long time, if ever. The
normal pH of the human body (normally measured in arterial blood) is about
7.40, far more alkaline than what you promise to raise(?) it to. Acidosis of
pH 7.2 or less is seldom survivable.
