  1. Do you warm up before a 1/2 marathon? If so, how do you warm up? It's my
first and I am in it to finish so maybe warming up is not that important but
I do notice on my long runs that I feel better after 2.3 miles.

    Thanks

In answer to your question, I do very little warmup before a half. A very small
amount of jogging, a few strides, maybe some stretching if I feel like it. No
more than a mile total. Pace is quite slow, and it's OK to be a little sluggish
    out of the blocks.

Given your goals, I would recommend using the first 2.3 miles of the race
    to warm up.

    Cheers,

all depends on YOU, and what you normally do before runs, especially
long ones. whatever works for you in training - do that for the race.

me - i always do some gentle stretches before training runs, and for
morning races, to warm up muscles that are still tight from inactivity
during sleep, i will do a 5 - 10 min. jog, then do those same
stretches. then i'm good to go.

don't change your routine on race morning.... stick with familiar
    food, warm-up, clothes, etc.

    best of luck!

  4. I did it ! My first 1/2.

I followed everyone's guidance who ALL said don't change your routine.

    Thanks.

Now to working on moving my anaebic threshold higher

    5 - v slow jog
    10 - drills + normal jog
    10 - about LSD pace
    5 - some lines at 10k pace
