  1. Hi All,

I got a set of Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels for Christmas, and was wondering
if I need to install rim strips (I use Velox normally).
They don't have spoke holes, so I wouldn't think they'd need rim tape?
    Do they need tape?

    thanks,

    JA

  2. Nope. Nothing is needed. I have a pair on a Giant Comp 1 and never had any
problems -- now over 16,000 km on the wheel set, all on normal road
surfaces. I keep the pressure at 120 psi and have had only 1 pinch flat.
Very strong wheels but they increase likelihood of cross winds pressure.
    Hope this helps.
