  1. Debating something, wondering if anyone has an opinion.

My bike currently has V brakes, now the frame has the mounts for disc
brakes. Anyone know what it would take to convert from a V brake to
mechanical disc? I figure I would need a new hub, the disc and the
caliper unit, not sure about the brake levers.

Thinking when (not if), a V brake falls apart, might go disc in the
front, with the remaining V on the rear....

Anyone have any ideas? I would post to rb.tech but I don't belong to
    that group.....

You can use a regular vbrake lever with the Deore mechanical disc, not
sure about the others, but probably the same.
