  1. OK, how come no one is asking where I am going this week in the Italian
Alps ? Unidirectional focus is so clearly warped.

Just for that, I'm not telling.

On the way out the door..........

For tech info, to keep on topic :
    13x29 (OK)
    53x39 (groan)
ProRace (old series) 23 - red - not even new.
new chain - old legs and lungs.

    Ciao !

53/13 tooth double crank and 29-39 tooth cassette? What exceptional
front derailer [1] works with such a combination?

and even the wonder of its age, the Huret Duopar, couldn't wrap that
much chain. Also, probably hard to spin a 13x39 fast enough to keep
    from falling over.

....but anything in the Italian Alps sounds like fun!

Ummmm.... because we didn't know you were going? I sure didn't. Sounds
    like fun.

Everyone confesses that exertion which brings out all the powers of body
and mind is the best thing for us; but most people do all they can to
get rid of it, and as a general rule nobody does much more than
circumstances drive them to do. -Harriet Beecher Stowe, abolitionist and
    novelist (1811-1896)
