  1. Probably a very newbie question, but an alloy frame is non-magnetic correct?

  2. The term alloy [I'm fairly sure] is 2 or more metals combined. So yes an alloy could be magnetic. If you are referring to a typical aluminium alloy bicycle frame, than they are not magnetic.
