pezcyclingnews.compezcyclingnews.comOpen ↗ Dietrich Thurau Admits Doping The German ex-
cyclist Dietric Thurau admitted in an interview with a German local newspaper that he used dope
during his cycling-career. According to Thurau every cyclist takes dope. He also said that it is not
possible to participate in these tough races without dope. But Thurau and his colleagues had
everything under control. But for the professionals of this moment, Thurau couldn't guarantee that
they had everything under control by using dope. Thurau, now 49 years old, won 5 stages in the Tour
of France in 1977 and wore the yellow jersey for 15 days.

Hot news indeed. Twelve years ago Thureau told the same story in an interview with the German
magazine Bild. And you have to remember that guys who dope have to believe that everyone is doping as an
excuse to cheat. How many people claimed that Charly Mottet didn't dope and he was one fine rider.
I was just looking at the 1990 Lemond Tour de France DVD and in it you could see that Indurain was a
great rider. He already TT'd fast and he was climbing like a gazelle. If it weren't for his loyalty
to Banesto and Pedro Delgado, he would have won the '90 Tour in my opinion. It didn't look like he
needed any dope in '90. -

indurain wasn't.Nobody good does dope.
