  1. i have a problem with my shinamo deore rear derailer, rear derailers are meant to provide tension on chain, and mines isnt providing me with a enough so my derailer and chain rattle about damaging my swing arm and causing my chain to jump,

i'm hoping theres a screw or nut to tighten to solve my problem, i dont think the derailer has simply worn out as its not very old,

    all help much apreciated

  2. sounds like your chain is loose..try taking links out 1x1 till your happy with the tension--some slap is to be expected

  3. Are you in the small ring in the front and some of the smaller rings in the back when it's slapping?

  4. it happens in any gear, but is worse in lower gears
