I bought one in 1981, took 4 months, Columbus SL for rear triangle and front
fork, Cinelli lugs and BB shell, main triangle was SP. 58.75 cm frame size.
I still have the frame, in my fat masters state, the chain stays are a bit
too flexible.
Tim Parker at some bike shop in CA (12/02 cover of Bicycling?, probably has
moved on, maybe back to NorCal) is probably a good pipeline to the current
state of Roland's effort. He had been working at Cindy O's shop in
Berkeley, I believe.
Good luck.

Quoted message said:I know that a few of you have posted on this topic in the (distant)
past, but I was wondering if anyone has any relatively recent feedback
on Della Santa frames. I know all about the LeMond connection, yadda,
yadda, yadda. I would like to know if you own one, what type of
tubing, how long it took, how was the ordering process, etc. I am
thinking of buying one, but to do so, my wife says that the Ti Merckx
has to go (she simply doesn't get it).
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
