Can someone define what is meant by the cycling term "spinning" and can someone explain how to train for an increase in Lactate Threshold? Thanks.

Here is a good definition of spinning:
http://sheldonbrown.com/gloss_sp-ss.html#spinningIf someone says they spun out, it usually means their gear was light and resistance low. They could freely spin the pedal.
