I am concerned about the fabric issue. My sun protection clothing is nylon based, and I also wear polyester based fabrics. I do not intend to apply the DEET based repellant to the fabric, but some contact is likely to occur. Will these materials be "melted" ?!!

It's murder on spandex.(Don't ask how I know)
I need to know all this stuff. I put DEET on my skin and went outside and the next thing I knew, mosquitoes had bitten me on the collarbone, the shoulder blade, and the top of my forehead! (I was wearing a shirt!)
