  1. The time has finally come for a new bike. After MANY months on pondering and great help (and patience) from a lot of bike shops I've pretty well narrowed the field to two bikes...now I need some unbiased :o opinions. If any one has pros and cons on DEAN and Litespeed Ti frames, please share your thoughts. Fortunately we live close enough and took advantage of an offer to tour the Litespeed factory but DEAN is too far away. I realize there is somewhat of a price difference but it is quality of build and dependability that interests me. Thanks in advance. Mitch

  2. Hi Mitch,

Not to confuse things, but have you checked out Moots? I just went thru the same process (looking for a new Ti bike) and I looked at a bunch and finally settled on a Vamoots SL. I LOVE IT. It's lite, stiff and rides really smooth. If i didn't go with the Moots I was going to go with a litespeed (over the dean).

    cheers,

    jb

Funny, saw the thread title and thought about recommending moots as another alternative. If Ti is your thing, moots sure gives litespeed, dean, merlin, and the like a run for their money.

  4. JB and RC2...thanks Gents. Moots keeps coming up from a lot of conversation regarding Ti bikes. And, honestly I'd be inclined in that direction except for the grand higher price. I actually started looking at Airborne, and have looked at Seven, IF, Litespeed, Merlin, and some small custom operations. JB, what was it about Litespeed that you liked better than DEAN before you shifted to Moots? Thanks again. mdb
