Does anybody knows, which day the Dead Sea Halfmarathon took place in 1996? Please tell me. Does anybody knows the result?
I took part in that race and can tell you that it was really great. Running on the lowest spot on earth ist giving a special feeling. Okay, it was really hot but that I liked and I finished arount 1:30.

The online results only go back as far as 1998. Although in those years it has always taken place on a Saturday in February.

I haven't managed to run that one, as I don't run Saturday races, but I have run the 1/2 marathon in Bet She'an which is also quite low.

I respect it.

Yes, but I like the scenery around the Dead Sea much more. En Gedi, Masada, Quran ... there is something special on that place.
Well ... I've been living in Israel for 2 years. I managed to take part in some races. My best 1/2 marathon result was 1995 in Tel Aviv with 1:20 until now. Great race.

Yes - pretty "mystical" type area - It would be special to run there. Actually - the Tiberias marathon is in different scenery but also very special.

That's a great time also. My best so far is just under 1:24 at Bet She'an last year. Unfortunately the Tel-Aviv 1/2M was cancelled this year due to municipality problems - lack of funding and organisation.
