I am looking at these 2 frames to replace my R3. My Cervelo was ran over by a car ( i was not on it of course, thank god). i will be getting about $3500.00 for the damanged bike and i have narrowed it down to these 2: De Rosa Idol or the Colnago Extreme power. i am about 5'11" 185 lbs. i love how the Cervelo handle most situations and have no complaints. i ride about 40 to 50 miles with a club everyday Saturday and Sunday, so i am not looking for a long ride bike. i need it to be fast, BB stiff and able to take roaad bumps graciously. i have been asked why i am not getting another R3 and my answer is, i would like to upgrade a little. the idol and the R3 have similar geometry. the Colnago looks really good in paper, but, i do not know anyone who has one.

i think the idol looks cooler....i'm sure both bikes have their good and bad points. but if it were me, i'd go for a LOOK 595 or 585, the ultra version if you require extra stiffness.
