I'm after information on the Dawes Lightning bike made sometime around the mid 1980s. In particular, does anyone know what tubing material the frame/forks are made from ? Are there any websites that provide any sort of technical specs. for old Dawes bikes like this ?

Cut my teeth (and shins, till R Ballantine told me about toeclips) on one of these. Available with sport or touring looks, but only real difference was short or long mudguards. Frame/forks were high-ten steel. Steel rims. Usual excellent Dawes paint finish. Happy days...
