on caffeine and candy to keep them alert and at the top of their game. But now, a new product
called MindFX hopes to replace all those empty calories with an herbal supplement that promises to
increase mental energy and capacity while enhancing a gamers hand-eye coordination. CBS 2's Michael
Pomeranz reports.
News of the pills is traveling fast, via the internet, video game events and articles in gaming
magazines. It's the first time a company has marketed nutritional supplements to people who play
video games.
Tod Cooperman, president of an independent testing lab specializing in dietary supplements, took a
look at the contents of three MindFX formulas. "i think they are asking you to become a guinea pig
for a cocktail of ingredients."
