I've been on my new Fisher a week and a half (or about). It's a huge
improvement over my old ride, with one exception... the damned crankset.
Until I bought this bike, I thought chainsuck was some excuse you guys made
up when you got bit because you couldn't adjust your gear properly.
Suddenly I was averaging two stops a ride to get off the bike and yank the
damned chain out of the space between the 2nd and 3rd chainrings.
I put up with it for a week, then finally ordered a TruVativ crankset. Put
it on day before yesterday, and smooth as glass ever since. I guess I
should read the FAQ more carefully.
In other news, the sudden jamming of my cranks mere inches from a jump
screwed my rhythm enough that I did my first endo on the new bike.
Shoulder's had me almost out of action for the last few days, but not quite
(just off the trails for now).
