Damaged Ultegra Shifter

My guess is that it isn't going to be a major problem as long as you keep up your regular maintenance.

Either way, if it still works, I suggest that you keep using it until it goes to the fluffy place in the sky where long retired shifters reside, and then look for a replacement pair (hard to come by), or upgrade to a 10sp levers, and use them on your existing 9s drivetrain.

I popped that entire plastic piece off of 1 of my shifters about 2 years ago and have been using it with no adverse effects (so far).

I have the piece, but can;t get it back on.
