I know this is probably a silly question but here goes anyway. Just put a new tyre on my Trek MTB and I have noticed that the tyre seems to have a slight kink. The wheel is true and I took the tyre off and re-seated to make sure I hadn't done anything stupid and there is still a definite slight kink as you spin the wheel. Will this disappear once ridden on a couple of times?

It is a road tyre and not off-road.

I had the same problem on a brand new road bike, the front tyre had a deffinate kink in it, maybe 10mm from side to side...at first I thought it was a bent rim, I could really feel it on smooth surfaces... Anyway, I took it back to the shop I bought the Bike from, same as you, they took the Tyre off to re-seat it, but the same thing...it was a faulty Tyre so they replaced it...
