  1. Ok, it didn' snap in half yet, but I wanted to get as many responses as possible.

Living up to my name, i picked a ton of bikes from a closing shops trash this week, one of which was
a little Daewoo fold up bicycle. The bike was sitting there, all folded up in like-new condition
with all the original parts and one extra: the original fork with about and inch of the steerer tube
sheered off. The "stem" (if you can call it that) is a long sloping steel tube that extends about 3
feet up from the head tube, which itself is only about an inch long. It is attached to the steerer
tube with the use of a threaded quick release clamp. It slightly crushes the slotted steerer tube
    down around the stem.

The whole thing feels kinda sketchy even though i think i have it sufficiently clamped down and
installed correctly. Is the steering of fold-ups notoriously floppy? i wouldnt expect the steering
to feel as solid as on a normal diamond frame bike with 3 inches at the most of stem hanging out.
The bike also seems to be somewhat cheap, but if it holds up ill ride it.

Will this break while im riding?

Your tactic will probably be counterproductive.

With the evidence in front of you, you need to ask?

This is a great bike if you are looking for attention. Everyone will be looking when the stem breaks and you are in the street with traffic bearing down on you. Put it back in the trash where it belongs.
