    No. Your body will however be unable to assimilate it or metabolize it
    into derivative amino acids. It is however difficult to obtain, by
    comparison with L-Arg.
    Incidentally, an excessive bodily level of L.Arg is a major contributing
    factor in herpes simplex attacks, which is easily countered by L-Lysine
    therapy.
