  1. I have moved my powertap over to my cross bike and done a few workouts and one race with it so far. A couple of things I have noticed so far and found interesting are that my power output is generally lower than road - especially when comparing race data (I compared a cross race to a crit I had done a week before) and the torque numbers are way higher than anything I have seen this year on the road (previously my 5 sec peak torque was 61.8 NM and I have hit 96.2 NM on the cross bike). I think all of this makes sense - power numbers could be lower for a number of reasons: elevated heart rate from jumping off the bike and running over barriers or up inclines, change of bike position, riding over bumpy terrain. Torque I was a bit surprised by but also makes sense given the terrain as well - mud / sand, very steep short rises, etc. Anyone else notice these effects or other differences using powertap on their cross bike?
