    I've been looking into Cyclocross bikes and for the price a Giant TCX 2 is looking great - especially for a beginner in the world of cyclocross. Right now I have a Giant Rapid 3 which is basically a road bike without handlebars, I feel like it would be a great transition.

    I have two questions:

    • Can you recommend any particular (maybe lower end) cyclocross bikes? Konas? Scattante? Etc?
    • Would a TCX be a good bike to ride on the road for commuting even with the knobbier tires?
