Magazine publisher Future today unveiled a £30.5 million deal to buy a string of titles from rival Highbury House Communications.
It said the acquisition, which is subject to shareholder approval, brought benefits similar to its offer for the whole of Highbury as it enabled the Bath-based company to expand into a number of new areas.
Highbury, which closed three titles last year amid tough trading conditions, said the proceeds would be used to reduce its debt.
The proposed deal will also include magazines such as Pro Cycling, Total Mobile and Health and Fitness. It came as Future said in a separate statement that trading had been “satisfactory” during its first half.

I remeber one of the editions of C+ last year had a ride in Norfolk advertised and when i turned to the page marked in the index to read it, the page (and a couple either side) were missing!
