Bill CWatching it after the fact; it's sweet watching the majority of the
race. Versus' coverage was horrible; they should just stop covering
cycling if they're going to put out efforts like that.Alan

dumbass,
the versus was ridiculous. it was the old case of not trusting the
racing and filling up time with puff pieces and interviews which
killed any sense of continuity in the coverage.this was also the case in the flanders coverage, but i thought the
paris nice coverage was great. -

dumbass,
the versus was ridiculous. it was the old case of not trusting the
racing and filling up time with puff pieces and interviews which
killed any sense of continuity in the coverage.Absolutely dismal. The announcers were apparently just watching raw footage and
blathering about it with no more information than we had watching the same tape.
They apparently had no idea why the cameras were focusing on Stu or where he
came from or any clear idea where anybody was. That's what announcers are for, any dumbass can see what's on the feed. If the
announcer can't add context or provide a listing that doesn't have exploding
hockey graphics blocking the view, you might as well just look at the stills
like in the old days.Quoted message said:
