I have 10-days in Spain (Costa de la Luz, just up from Gib) with the family in April. Is this a spring cycling area? I'm trying to decide if I should take my road bike with me, or look for rentals (and any suggestions?). Realistically, I will probably only have 4 or 5 days to ride, what with various family sightseeing trips planned. My googling has so-far only revealed MTB rentals & tours, nothing roadie yet.
And does anyone know of an inexpensive way to ship my bike (rail/post/bus/etc.) too-from Spain? I am wary of taking it on the charter flight, and as there is a 75km transfer at the other end from airport to resort, if there's not enough luggage space in the tour company's bus I would probably get stuck with a paying cab-fare for the transfer. I have an 'IronCase' travel box.
Not sure about the cycling since Ive not tried it but bear in mind its windy as hell on the Costa De La Luz especially around Tarifa
