i love cycling and i used to do about 10 to 25 miles a day to keep in shape, unfortunately i have fallen front arches and have had to give up cycling because it's just to painful.
i'm hoping that if i buy a proper pair of shoes i will get enough support to be able to get back on the road. any thoughts.

any thoughts.
Arch supports glued to the inside of the shoe? I've tried plenty of shoes over the years and none have them have had what I would consider to be great arch support.

If by fallen front arches you mean the metatarsal arch, short of prescription orthotics there is a product you might try, Sof Sole Stable Trac insoles. They have extra cushioning under the ball and a metatarsal hump that helps my feet. I don't use them for riding, but they're in all my walking and running shoes to compensate for my fallen metatarsals and painful Morton's neuroma. My cycling shoes are Shimano SH-R151s. They fit a little wider at mid-foot, have a higher toe box, and have a metatarsal hump in the insoles, as do most of Shimano models. I might try a pair of Stable Tracs when I wear thinner socks and get my mileage up next summer.
