Cycling positions - multiple bikes

If the cyclists in front look like little old ladies on shoppers then I
may go ahead , or if they look like Scott Gamble, behind.Cars are
usually slow off the mark and the ones behind me in a panic to get
through the lights, so it is for their benefit that I go to the front
to clear the junction as soon as possible.
Also it doesn't do for a bike to be going through at the end of the
green because the slower riders will have some problem clearing the
junction before the other roads want to start. So we drivers are,
naturally , pleased to see the cycles go to the front.
