I am planning a holiday in Italy in 2006. Travelling in the areas of Trieste/Cinque terre/tuscany. I would like to stay at a variety of destinations in these areas for up to a week in each and do day/overnight cycling from a base. I would be interested in to hear from others who have done a similar thing, especially with a lone female focus.

Thanks

We cycled through Tuscany & Umbria in 2004. Have a look at www.nickcoyne.com/eur04/ for a few notes.

In 2003 I was on a cycling tour of Tuscany with Cyclismo Classico. Recommend the Park Hotel in Volterra - great views, pool and good base from which to see greater Tuscany.

Hi,

What you describe is something I would be very interested in doing during my tour. I would be grateful for any of the maps or pictures you have of your experience. Information regarding the B&B's would also be appreciated if that is possible.
Thanks
