I'm going on holidays and taking my bike and looking for some good
paths for early morning rides on my road bike while I am there.
Any recommendations, would be welcome.

Lots of nice tracks along the beach. Most of them are shared with
pedestrians so it's a pretty ambling afair. For something a bit longer
follow the bike track right up to Currumbin Beach and then up to the end of
Currumbin Valley (bike path about half the length. Call into a council
office or Information centre and get the free book on bike tracks. Also call
into a LBS (say Kirra Cycles) and there is a ride on everday starting at
