    Serious thought is currently being given to escaping the 'festivities' and buggering off to southern
    Spain for a week or three over Xmas / New Year.

    Can anyone recommend where to find good information on suitable tracks for either a mountain bike
    tour (B&Bing) or day rides from one or more centres?

    centres? From Almunecar or Salubrena up to Mulhacen is great ...see
    geocities.commulhacen btt for pix & description in Spanish (although lots of snow in
    December over 2000 metres, not very clear map on
    geocities.commapa mulhacen.htm Once of coast roads there are many trails to
