I was wondering what are your thoughts on cycling and impotence. I have been an avid road rider for several years sometime logging over 200 miles a week or 80+ miles\day when time permits. I know there have been studies that support as well against cycling as a cause of impotence\ED. I use saddles that have the center cutouts, but are light weight race type such as the ones from Selle Italia to hopefully alleviate this situation. But I don't know if it is just hype and marketing. I was considering the new BG Specialized saddles as they have always marketed them as being designed with the help of Dr. Roger Minkow, a orthopedic medical designer and being anatomically correct. I do not get numbness from my rides but I heard that is not always a symptom and I have been fitted on my bikes. Please share any info that you have on this subject.

I've been a little worried over testicular pain I get every so often and wondered it it might be my bike seat.
It feels like strain of some sort and I sometimes get it after a night-shift or during the day or if I lift something heavy. It's the kind of pain you get when you have a flu virus and it hurts to cough but it only happens occasionally.
My guess is it's strain of some kind (or a lingering virus) but have no idea how to get rid of it. Could it be the bike seat?cyclepath said:

If I ride my bike without cycling shorts, I get some pain. No sexual problems though!

From what I've heard, the risk is only among those who ride a lot (like professionals), and/or those who have uncomfortable saddles. Might be wrong though.
