This came up in the last few weeks on the google wattage list (groups.google.comwattageOpen ↗) in the "Power Tap Wireless Info" thread.

Product manager Jesse Bartholomew said, in summary (my comments in quotes):

- New Pro hub design will be out sometime in '07 (don't hold your breath)
- No change in weight or pricing
- New Pro will use sealed cartridge bearings now on both sides, like the SL (the cup & cone bearings in the current hub have long been a weak link)
- New Pro will be "more water resistant" than the current one (I have no idea how they determine this, my pro hub has survived 4 hour downpours)

Also,
- New track specific hub in the works
- He confirmes that a disc-brake compatible mtb hub is "on their list" as a future product
- He didn't say anything about the PT disc wheel that some of us have seen prototypes of.

That's all he's said so far, don't ask me questions, join the wattage group and hope for him to post more there (he's always quite helpful) if you need more info.
