Your chart is demonstrating the Magneto's "feature"- changing resistance with speed. The resistance mechanism is built in such a way that, as speed increases, the distance between the resistance- creating elements changes, so you don't get a conventional curve. The fact that it has kinks in it indicates it doesn't do so very smoothly.

I guess I'll stick to other smoother trainers. The steep slope, more than the kinks, make this trainer hard to tune: for constant power in the middle part, I have to really hold the speed in a narrow range! And I use that middle part a lot.
I have this trainer and I enjoy it a lot. The Magneto has three permanent magnets in the flywheel. Each magnet is allowed to slide to the outer edge of the flywheel while compressing a spring. The second feature is that an iron plate is placed parallel to these magnets (the magnets don't touch the plate). This plate has cut-outs in the iron in a pattern that exposes more iron surface when the magnets are at the outer edge than the inner edge. The third feature is that this trainer has a massive (really really big) flywheel with fan blades. So as you increase your speed the centrifugal force pushes the magnets to the outer edge of the flywheel while compressing a spring. The further the magnet gets to the outer edge of the flywheel the more the resistance increases since more iron surface is present. When the magnets reach the end of their individual tracks, the resistance levels off and then the resistance increases only due to the fan shape (wind resistance) of the fly-wheel. I like this trainer more than my old Elite fluid because it's more quiet. I don't think I can last very long at the point where the magnets reach their limit of resistance but think of the advantages of maintaining a reasonably hard power level at different cadences or speeds.
