I have a 2007 specialized Roubaix and i just purchased a cycleops fluid home trainer. Do I have to use the Cycleops rear skewer that was provided?

Depends on the skewer, but most of the newer rims have a different shape skewer that doesn't quite fit. Campy fits my Cycleops, but all the others I've seen don't allow you to secure your bike properly. Not something you want unsecure. It only takes a second to swap them out. I do for my wife's bike all the time. No big deal. And if your not into bling, just leave it in there.🙂
