Speaking from 15 years in the business..........
Cycle Spectrum does not have a good rep.
In it's original form Cycle Spectrum was soley responsible for Panasonic
Cycles going bankrupt in the US. The person at the helm then sold and then
re-purchased the company for pennies........ Anybody know the name Mike
Spratt?
He is absolutely legendary in the Dallas market. He created the company and
continues to "manage" the franchises.
Each franchise owner is responsible for his or her own shop. Having said
that there might be a good one or two in the country, but for the most part
the owners are not bicycle people and are simply trying to run a business.
The knowledge is not there.......The customer service is not there. I
cannot think of an original Cycle Spectrum still in business anywhere in
Dallas.
Several years ago, the Cycle Spectrum stores in Dallas displayed signs in
there windows..."We only work on the bicycles we sell"
Stay away in earnest........Your wallet will be happier in the long
run.................

Quoted message said:Can anyone shed light on Gravity Bikes sold by Cycle Spectrum? I know
they are lower end...but how low? I can't find any information or even
a website that describes the bike. Even Huffy does better than
that....
I called Cycle Spectrum and they stated it was a lower end
motobecane...but reading some of the bad info on CS, makes me even
question if I should even consider the bike.
I am looking to ride it a few times a week with my son...so performance
isn't an issue, just reliability.
