    I saw a slightly different variation recently in Tokyo. I hadn't
    anticipated the level of cycle use that I saw there and was surprised to see
    things such as a multi storey bicycle park adjacent to Kurashiki station.
    Getting back to Tokyo I saw "Sumida Park Bicycle Parking" which is by the
    river in Asakusa. It is an underground facility (I didn't go in so I don't
    know how many floors) and it has a slot like the one in the film but people
    were putting their wheels in the slot which had a conveyor type belt in it
    and walking up as the conveyor moved their bicycle.
