    Sorry for the intrusion, but I'm in the shopping mode to buy my first bent. Lots to choose from out
    there, so, much test rides and tire kicking ahead for
    me.

    For whatever reasons, both the Cycle Genius ALX-20(2) and the RANS Velocity Squared have
    caught my eye.

    The CG is a 20/20, while the RANS is 26/20.

    My question is, what difference is the between a bike with 20's front and back as opposed to a bike
    with a 26 & a 20 wheel set.?

    The V² has gearing similar to a standard bike. The 20² has to have very large chain rings to achieve
    the same gear ratios.

    Take a look at the selection at Stress Management Recumbents and talk to Adam or Danny at
    Planetary Cycles.
