  1. Am looking for a cycle computer for my road bike.

Basic requirements are as follows (any suggestions appreciated if I am
    missing something):

    Heart rate
    Cadence
    Speed
    Distance
    Wireless
    Download to PC
    Waterproof
    Light
    Easily attached/detached

I am happy to pay for quality. Any thoughts on a suitable device would be
very much appreciated. I have trawled the web to "see what is out there"
but am not sure which products are really worth buying.

    Thank you very much.

Have a look at the current Polar heart rate monitors which are cycling
oriented - see list at -

    http://www.polar.fi/polar/channels/eng/segments/Cycling.html

    - you will get all the above, with each ride conveniently graphed in
abundant detail in the accompanying software (you have to buy an interface
to your computer). Takes time to understand the product but a good 'un IMHO.
I have not tried the power measuring option but others who have report it to
be fiddly and not entirely reliable - you see lots of that accessory for
sale second hand so it seems to be unloved. That aside, polar y seem to have
the lions share of the market, despite cheaper imitations

best, Andrew (remove the .x1 to reply)
