Has anybody ever seen one of these events? Is there any such circuit
in North America?
Thanks,

Probably the closest we have is the acrobatic stuff people do on those
small BMX-like stunt bikes. You can see stuff like that during eXtreme
sports exhibitions.
For those who haven't looked it up, it's effectively Cycle Ballet.
(First impression of the name sounded like another way to bump off
another member of the Kennedy clan, give 'em a couple bikes and a football)

I once saw the world championships for cycle-ball and indoor cycling
at Winterthur, Switzerland several years ago and very interesting it
was too ... A colleague and I were covering the event for the UCI's
website. Of course, those were the days when they used to do pictures
and reports and stuff ... what do they do today?
Anyway, in Germany, at that time, more cyclists held indoor
competition licences than road licences, a situation I still believe
is true. The cycle-ball final was live peak-time tv viewing in several
European countries.
I recall there was one competitor from the US; in the men's single
artistic event.

Clearly CyclingNews is letting us down in this regard.

(Probably don't cover it because it was a [censored] to get the blimb
through the front doors.)
