The carbon seatpost I bought is a 350mm length, but I really only need
a 250mm size. Can I cut this one shorter?

the correct ride height for the saddle, don't cut it. If it can't,
I'd favor getting one of the correct length instead of cutting that
one.

It does fit in the frame as is, I was just asking in case I get into
gram counting...
