I have a 56cm c-c frame with an extended headtube. I need to lower the bars further than the extended headtube allows. Is it possible to cut this to allow for the proper stem drop. I would ideally like to remove about 1cm. Any thoughts/suggestions?

A drop stem would be a much easier option although a drop stem wouldnt look as good, if the cut headtube is done prefessionally. Also, u cant cut a head tube if the internal diameter (id) changes through the length of the head tube (ht) ie. "butted" to save weight. This may effect headset installation and other stuff that can get very messy. I think this is what boudreaux is saying with his "id" and "ht".
