I was wondering if anyone knew of a place in Toronto where I might be able to get some touch ups done to the paint work of my bike.
On my last ride the chain came off completely, wrapping itself around the right pedal and scratching the chain stay. I took the bike back to the vendor yesterday and they said that there was nothing that I could do to repair them (other than get a cover for it in the future) and that scratches were inevitable and irreparable.
Since the bike is brand new and I'm still kinda anal about it looking perfect, does anyone know if there is anything I can do?
I'm not sure how much you're willing on paying, but I do know that if you want the best paint jobs at reasonable pricing then some of the motorcycle shops will do a great job.
I'm not talking about a simple touch up or powdercoat though, although they may do that too.
Connery Custom paint is one company I have talked to recently regarding my own line of bikes (www.bikeophile.com) that are coming out in the next few months. These guys seem really good and if you check out their site, you'll see that they know what they are doing.
These are only one of many motorcycle shops you can find in the yellowpages.
Also, autobody places will often give you deals if you want a new paint job. Sometimes they will cut you a deal if you want a paint colour that they happen to be using on a car...that way the paint is basically free to them.
