Current 29er Frame That Will Fit A 3"

  1. i have have been wanting to build a 29er unicycle that will
    be for off road i saw that the big apple had a 29 tire of
    the 3" variety. So my question is are ther any modest frames
    out there that will eccept this with no modification. i do
    know that hunter will make one but i dont have that kind of
    cash or i would just get my coker bak on the road with one
    of U turns wheels.

  2. The Yuni frame has room for the Big Apple tire. The tire is
    only 2.3" wide, but that is still BIG for a 29er, and there
    aren't any 700c (29er) rims wide enough to comfortably fit
    a 3" tire.

    If you are going off road take a look at the Nanoraptor or
    Motoraptor tires too.

    The 2.35" Big Apple (the widest I know of) is NOT very
    suitable for offroad. It wants to climb a grade you're
    traversing, or the sides of a rut you're riding in. And it
    has hardly any profile. It's made for roads.

    Where did you find a 3" Big Apple? Or was that a typo?
